Submitting your site to the search engines is only the first move in your SEO campaign. The more traffic that flows to your site through search engines and backlinks, the higher your page rank will be. Now it's time to create some backlinks! The more, the better! Search Engines Ξένες Μηχανές Αναζήτησης

Υπάρχουν προγράμματα που υπόσχονται καταχώρηση σε χιλιάδες μηχανές αναζήτησης. Η χρήση αυτών των προγραμμάτων δεν αυξάνει σημαντικά την θέαση των σελίδων σας για τους εξής λόγους:

• To 99% των επισκέψεων που δέχεται ένα site λόγω της παρουσίας του στις βάσεις δεδομένων των μηχανών αναζήτησης, προέρχεται από τις 7 μεγαλύτερες μηχανές αναζήτησης.


• Tα προγράμματα αυτά καταχωρούν το site σας κυρίως σε Free for all links, δηλαδή σε μικρά προσωπικά directories, τα οποία στοχεύουν σε μεγάλο ποσοστό στο να αποσπάσουν το email σας για να το χρησιμοποιήσουν για αποστολή ανώνυμων διαφημιστικών μηνυμάτων (spam).

Για να πετύχετε καλύτερα αποτελέσματα κατά την καταχώρηση του site σας στις μηχανές αναζήτησης ακολουθήστε τους παρακάτω κανόνες:

• Κάντε σωστή χρήση των meta tags και της meta description. Πολλές μηχανές αναζήτησης δίνουν ιδιαίτερο βάρος σ' αυτά.


• Καταχωρήστε μόνο την κεντρική σας σελίδα και σε καμία περίπτωση, μην καταχωρείτε περισσότερες απο μία σελίδες ανα 24 ώρες. Η καταχώρηση πολλών ή όλων των σελίδων του site σας μπορεί να φέρει καλύτερο αποτέλεσμα σε κάποιες μηχανές αναζήτησης, μπορεί όμως να σας αποκλείσει εντελώς απο κάποιες άλλες για spamming.


• Kαταχωρήστε το site ξανά ανα τακτά χρονικά διαστήματα π.χ. μια φορά το μήνα.


• Αποφύγετε την χρήση frames. Τα frames μπορεί να προσφέρουν κατά τον σχεδιασμό των σελίδων σας λειτουργικότητα και όμορφο αισθητικά αποτέλεσμα, λόγω της ιδιομορφίας όμως των σελίδων με frames, οι περισσότερες από τις μεγάλες μηχανές αναζήτησης δεν υποστηρίζουν την καταχώρηση τους.
